I just picked up this pattern for the basic A line skirt (which is coming along very nicely), but reading through the reviews, a few people made really cute versions of the shorts.

http://sewing.patternreview.com/cgi-bin/patterns/sewingpatterns.pl?patternid=27233

Okay, I swear I'm done. :DHeatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10477887672613694373noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-67730370104633704.post-13582390076855714632011-04-21T14:13:07.055-04:002011-04-21T14:13:07.055-04:00I've never sewn shorts, but I've had my ey...I've never sewn shorts, but I've had my eye on the Built By Wendy Pattern (by Simplicity, but I think it's OOP) for a long time. Burda also has a few cute pattern available for download on their site.

I'd love to hear your experiences sewing the shorts once your finished with them. Has to be easier than pants, right?Ashleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03614511536841195392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-67730370104633704.post-44600309306697236932011-04-21T10:44:16.871-04:002011-04-21T10:44:16.871-04:00LOL, I remember the first McCall's pattern you...LOL, I remember the first McCall's pattern you show! I made them like 15 years ago! Even back then I only used them as pj bottoms. Love the styling on the envelope! You would think they could have updated it by now!Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13787901606278168542noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-67730370104633704.post-74518904097746105642011-04-21T06:28:30.020-04:002011-04-21T06:28:30.020-04:00I made M5391 with few expectations and ended up lo...I made M5391 with few expectations and ended up loooooving them. The pattern went together so easily and I thought I actually looked decent in the shorts (I hate myself in shorts). Good luck! Once you find a pattern you like you won't look back :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-67730370104633704.post-33722786453929051762011-04-21T00:53:55.116-04:002011-04-21T00:53:55.116-04:00I really like Simplicity 3850.

I have attempted pants, and they taught me that pants are hard and take a bit of work to fit properly. My only attempt at pants was using Simplicity 2367. While they were a failure, there was one reviewer on PR who made up the shorts, and they are adorable! The pipping really added to it.

http://sewing.patternreview.com/cgi-bin/readreview.pl?readreview=1&reviewnum=54294

Good luck on the shorts!Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10477887672613694373noreply@blogger.com
